Rachael Bella was born in a small town in South Dakota where she lived until she was three years old. (Her parents divorced shortly after her birth.) At three, she moved to New York where her mother finished college, began graduate school, but then became ill. After that, Rachael's only respite from school and the tiny apartment in which they lived, was her once-weekly musical theater class, the high point of her life. At the age of eight, she sang a solo at her theater school's recital. Her singing won her praise and brought her to the attention of several New York agents. She signed with one, hoping to work on the stage, but while she waited for child roles to become available, she began going to film auditions and was cast in a series of movie roles. Over time, she discovered that, even more than music, acting, was her passion.
Rachael Bella (born March 13, 1984) is an American actress known for her role as Becca Kotler in the movie The Ring.
Bella grew up in Santa Monica, CA. She was married to Edward Furlong, her costar in the 2006 film Jimmy and Judy. She gave birth to their son, Ethan Page Furlong, on September 21, 2006.
On July 8, 2009, Bella filed for divorce from Furlong. In October 2010, Bella received a restraining order from a court against Furlong. She claimed he threatened to commit suicide, repeatedly refused to undergo any drug tests, and that he told her he hit their son's testicles. He was also ordered by the court to undergo counselling. On 10 January 2011, Furlong was arrested and jailed for violating his probation stemming from the restraining order. She told the court he regularly drove past her house in an intimidating manner, and threatened to hire people to beat her with metal chains and baseball bats. In January 2011 Furlong told a judge he is bankrupt and cannot afford to pay child support.
